Kelâat M'Gouna ( Moroccan Arabic: قلعة مݣونة, romanized: qəlʿət mguna) or Tighremt NImgunen ( Berber languages: ⵜⵉⵖⵔⵎⵜ ⵏ ⵉⵎⴳⵓⵏⵏ) is a city in Tinghir Province, Drâa-Tafilalet, Morocco. According to the 2019 census it has a population of 38,140. [1] This town constitutes an economic and social center for the region, for its very animated nature.

Kalaat M'gouna is derived from the Arabic term "el qal'a," which means "fortress or citadel," and M'Gouna because it not only stands on the banks of the oued (river) Dades, but also near the oued M'Goun, its tributary, thus getting its name from the second Moroccan massif, the M'Goun, which peaks at 4070 meters.
